Chiefs coach Dave Rennie has made one change to his starting team for their must win final round Super Rugby match against the Blues in Auckland on Friday.

Rennie’s one change in the starting line up that beat the Hurricanes with Bundee Aki coming in to replace Charlie Ngatai who is out with a shoulder injury.

Chiefs newly crowned ‘Rookie of the Year’ Nathan Harris comes onto the bench and he is joined by Dwayne Sweeney in the only other change to the reserves.

In the Chiefs awards held at Sky City in Hamilton on Monday night, impressive lock Brodie Retallick won the Chiefs Player of Year as voted for by the Chiefs coaches. He also picked up the Chiefs Player of the Year award as voted for by the Chiefs fans.

The other finalists for the fan voted award were Tim Nanai-Williams and Liam Messam.

The outcome of the match determine whether the Chiefs reach the play-offs. Traditionally matches between the two neighbours have proven to be highly physical with test match intensity and with so much at stake, this Friday’s encounter is expected to be the same.
