The first match on Saturday in the second round of Super Rugby 2016 takes place in Hamilton where the Chiefs host the Lions of Johannesburg.

3.00: After a series of scrums the Lions win a penalty and kick for touch.

6.00: The Chiefs are not getting a lot of ball but when they do they look dangerous and are finding holes in the Lions defence.

9.00: The Chiefs earn a penalty so Damien McKenzie lines up and takes the shot.

10.00: He nails it and the Chiefs are on the board.

13.00: The Chiefs are caught not rolling away so the Lions have a penalty in front. Elton Jantjies lines up the kick. He nails it and the Lions are on the board.

18.00:Lions on the attack in the Chiefs 22. They earn a penalty so Jantjies lines up the kick and nails it. The Lions lead.

20.00: Tom Sanders slips through a gap and goes over to score the opening TRY for the Chiefs.

21.00: McKenzie misses the conversion. The Chiefs lead.

25.00: The Lions get a free kick as the Chiefs are not feeding the scrum correctly.

29.00: The Lions attack from a scrum and they go over the line but they get held up.

The Lions put the Chiefs under pressure on their line and Malcolm Marx slips through and scores. TRY!

32.00: Jantjies adds the conversion and the Lions lead.

35.00: Penalty to the Lions in front. Jantjies takes the kick and nails it.

37.00: Chiefs discipline is starting to hurt them as the Lions are awarded another penalty. Jantjies lines up from just inside the Lions half. 52m out. He nails it.

39.00: Penalty to the Chiefs in front. McKenzie lines up the kick. He nails it.

40.00: The Lions restart and win the ball back. Jantjies goes for a drop goal but misses.

Jantjies kicks off and the second half is underway.

44.00: Mitchell Graham is sent to the sin-bin for 10 minutes for cynical play so the Chiefs will have 14 players for the next 10 minutes.

45.00: The Lions win a scrum and go through seven phases on attack but then Jantjies knocks on.

46.00:  Taleni Seu comes on for Brodie Retallick.

48.00: The Lions spread the ball wide out to Courtnal Skosan who shows some pace and scores in the corner. TRY!

48.00: Jantjies takes the conversion kick from but misses.

49.00: The Chiefs hit back after turning the ball over and Damien McKenzie races in to score in the corner. TRY!

50.00: McKenzie converts his try.

53.00: Chiefs back to 15 players.

55.00: The Chiefs have really stepped up. James Lowe goes over to for the Chiefs.

55.00: McKenzie adds the conversion and the Chiefs lead.

57.00: The Lions are not out of this yet. They work the ball up to the Chiefs line and Warren Whiteley goes over to put the Lions back into the lead.

58.00: Elton Jantjies adds the conversion.

62.00: Penalty to the Lions as the Chiefs front row collapses. Jantjies lines up the posts.

64.00: Jantjies takes the shot but misses.

66.00: The Lions extend their lead as Ruan Combrinck gets through to score. TRY! Jantjies misses the conversion.

The Chiefs aren’t out of this yet either as Brad Weber goes over to score.

71.00: McKenzie adds the conversion.

75.00: The Chiefs work the ball down into the Lions half but the Lions turn the ball over and boot it upfield.

77.00: The Chiefs are hungry for this and and playing the game in the Lions 22. Penalty to the Chiefs from the scrum. Cruden kicks for the corner.

78.00: The Chiefs win the line out and drive the maul over to the line but get pushed back. The ball goes dead and the Chiefs will have the put in.

80.00: Free kick to the Lions. They have won the match.
