Wallabies and Western Force prop Pek Cowan has been cleared of a serious injury
after he was stretchered off following a collapsed scrum in the Force’s 13-25
victory over the Waratahs.

Cowan was carried off with his neck in a brace in the 22nd minute after receiving
lengthy treatment on the field.

The 10 cap Wallaby forward was taken to the Royal North Shore hospital in Sydney for scans after
which he tweeted that he had been given the all clear and that he could be back
as early as next week.

“Thanks to everyone for the well wishes, been given the all clear, no
neck or spinal abnormalities. Will be right in a week!” he said on his
Twitter account.

The Western Force narrowly missed out on the play offs in 2014 and say that
they hope to go one better in 2015 by reaching the play offs at least.
