The Crusaders are going back to the drawing board this week as they search for an answer to turn around their recent Super 14 rugby form slump.

They might be the top ranked side heading into their Super 14 semi-final against the Hurricanes on Saturday, but they haven’t been playing like it, reports the NZ Herald website.

They lost at home to the Highlanders last weekend, and barely scraped by the Reds the week before.

Captain Richie McCaw says they have battled mentally and need to do a bit of soul searching, but it is unlikely to come in the form of raucous team talks.

He says it is the individual preparation that needs to lift and there is no point in talking too much, because everyone knows what is missing.

The Crusaders will continue to monitor Mose Tuiali’i who is battling a knee injury.

Meanwhile, 11 000 tickets remain for Saturday’s semifinal at AMI Stadium. Tickets went on sale to the public Tuesday.

AMI Stadium has a current capacity of 25 600.
