Australian backrower David Pocock has been ruled out of the rest of the Rugby Championship after sustaining an injury in the Wallabies 36-20 victory over Argentina.
Pocock injured his hand playing in the Wallabies victory and will have surgery on the hand once the swelling goes down.
The former Wallabies captain will miss the remaining two Rugby Championship Tests – against South Africa and Argentina – but could return for the match against the All Blacks on October 22.
Wallabies coach Michael Cheika could bring Ben McCalman back into the starting side or the newly capped Lopeti Timani.
