Bulls scrumhalf Fourie du Preez will start for the Bulls in the last Super14 league match of the season in Durban on Saturday.

Du Preez has recovered from a calf injury and came through a run well enough on Wednesday morning.

After further tests later in the day, when the Bulls went for their training run after a gym session, Du Preez was cleared to play.

He didn’t turn out against the Cheetahs last weekend after sustaining a calf injury in the previous weekend’s win over the Western Force.

There is one other change to the side.

JP Nel comes in at centre in a swap with Jaco Pretorius who moves to the bench.

Heini Adams, replaced by Du Preez, also drops to the bench and there is no place for Francois Hougaard who was initially bracketed with Adams in the match 22 as cover on the bench if Du Preez could not play.

The Bulls team is:

Zane Kirchner; Akona Ndungane, JP Nel, Wynand Olivier, Bryan Habana; Morne Steyn, Fourie du Preez; Pierre Spies, Dewald Potgieter, Deon Stegmann, Victor Matfield (capt.), Bakkies Botha, Werner Kruger, Derick Ku’n, Gurthr’ Steenkamp.

Replacements: Chiliboy Ralepelle, Rayno Gerber, Danie Rossouw, Pedrie Wannenburg, Heini Adams, Burton Francis, Jaco Pretorius.
