Bulls beat the Force in Perth




The second Super Rugby match in Round 10 on Friday is in Perth where the Australia’s Western Force host South Africa’s Bulls.

The Force kick off and the match is underway.

2.00: The Bulls take the ball into touch. The Force win the line out and although its slow they make ground on the Bulls. After four phases the Bulls turn the ball over and kick upfield and into touch.

4.00: The Bulls get the ball into the Force’s 22. They win the line out but they get pushed into touch.

6.00: Penalty to the Force for not rolling away in the tackle. Dane Haylett-Petty kicks upfield and into touch.

8.00: The Bulls win a penalty as they defend. They kick for touch but fail to find it. The Bulls chase and then take it into touch. The Force win the line out and start their attack by going through the phases.

9.00: Trevor Nyakane concedes a second penalty for holding on to the ball on the ground. The Force have had 80% of the possession so far. They will kick for posts.

10.00: Ian Prior takes the kick and he nails it. The Force lead.

12.00: The Bulls hit back. They go through 9 phases on attack and Hanro Liebenberg gets the ball and scores. TRY!

13.00: Francois Brummer adds the conversion.

15.00: The Bulls split the Force’s defence in the centre field. They go through six phases and win a penalty. Angus Cottrell who conceded a penalty has to come off for blood.

16.00: The Bulls choose to kick for goal. Brummer takes the kick and he nails it.

19.00: Penalty to the Force. They will take a shot at goal. Prior lines up the kick and he nails it.

The Force kick deep for territory. SP Marais decides to run the ball and the Bulls attack from 80m out. The Bulls keep the ball moving shoving off weak tackles as they go and Jan Serfontein scores. TRY!

23.00: Brummer misses the conversion.

26.00: The Force work the ball up to the Bulls tryline with a maul from a line out. They go over and Matt Hodgson claims the try. The TMO will decide. The TRY is awarded.

27.00: Prior takes the conversion and he nails it from the touchline.

28.00: Solomoni Rasolea gets an intercept ball and races down the wing for the line. As he gets to about 5m out the Bulls defence catches him and the ball is taken into touch.

29.00: The Force win the line out and use the maul. They spread the ball wide but when they get to the middle of the field the Force concede a penalty. The Bulls clear the ball into touch.

33.00: The Bulls knock on in attack so the Force have a scrum. It collapses twice and the second time the Force get a free kick. Haylett-Petty kicks for touch but it goes to the Bulls who counter attack.

35.00: The Bulls win a penalty just inside the Force’s half. Brummer takes the kick and nails it.

37.00: SP Marais gets trapped after the restart and drops the ball. Scrum to the Force.

40.00: Penalty to the Bulls for joining the ruck incorrectly. The Bulls kick the ball into touch.

The Bulls kick off and the second half is underway.

42.00: The Force knock on which gives the Bulls a scrum. The Bulls clear the ball from the back of the scrum and kick deep. Haylett-Petty boots it back. Marais boots the ball back and into touch.

43.00: From a line out the Force kick to the corner. Luke Morahan chanses but Bjorn Basson just beats him. The Force get a 5m scrum.

44.00: The Force win the scrum but the Bulls steal the ball and clear it into touch.

48.00: The Force scrum wheels so the Bulls win a penalty. They will kick for goal.

49.00: Brummer takes the kick and nails it. First points of the second half.

52.00: Another penalty to the Bulls after the line out and maul. The Bulls kick for touch and the line out.

53.00: Penalty advantage to the Bulls as they do the same again. The Force get a talking to for collapsing the mail.  Brynard Stander is yellow carded.

54.00: The Bulls use the maul again and this time Jam Serfontein slips through and scores. TRY! Brummer adds the conversion.

56.00: The referee pauses the match and goes to the TMO as he has seen a foot go in somewhere. The TMO will have a look. There is nothing there so we play on.

57.00: The Force concede a penalty at the ruck after keeping the Bulls under pressure for 13 phases. They kick for touch.

59.00: The Bulls win the line out and they get the ball to the Force’s 5m line. The Bulls keep the ball moving and Adriaan Strauss goes over and scores.

60.00: Brummer adds the conversion.

64.00: Out of nowhere the heavens have opened and it is pouring down. The crowd are scrambling to find cover.

67.00: The Bulls go to the maul again after a line out and they drive over the line and Adriaan Strauss scores his second TRY!

68.00: Brummer adds the conversion.

73.00: The rain has slowed now. The Bulls continue to attack but the ball is slippery.

75.00: The rain has returned. The Bulls win a penalty for not releasing. They kick to the corner.

76.00: The Bulls win the line out and use the maul again. They go through 5 phases and go wide.

77.00: The Bulls continue to attack and they change sides. The Force hold them out for now.

78.00: 14 phases from the Bulls on attack but they knock on.

79.00: The scum collapses and has to be reset. The Force win the scrum and run the ball. They get out of their 22 but the Bulls turn it over and kick deep. The Bulls kick it back and the Force return it and chase.

81.00: The Force win the race to the ball and dive on it and score. TRY ! The TMO checks it. Kyle Godwin got the ball down. The TMO says it is a TRY!

82.00:Prior adds the conversion.
