Four Sharks players to return home

Injury has necessitated the return of four players from the Sharks touring squad currently in Sydney, with John Smit, amongst other replacements, joining up with the squad in Australia.


Solly Tyibilika has strained a hamstring and he will be replaced by Warren Britz who flies out of Durban tonight (Sunday). The other three replacements all played for the Wildebeest on Saturday against Western Province (playing their part in a healthy 51-19 victory in Cape Town.


John Smit, Adrian Jacobs and Craig Davidson will return to Durban from Cape Town today, and will fly out tomorrow night.


They are replacing the following players: Brent Moyle who has a calf strain, scrumhalf Sandile Nxumalo who has a groin strain and Craig Burden who went down on his ankle in the last two minutes of the game.
