Bulls’ tighthead prop Rayno Gerber is training with the team and there is a good chance that he will be eligible for Saturday’s match in Johannesburg against the Lions.

Gerber struggled with a groin injury during the last couple of weeks, but Dr Org Strauss said on Monday morning that the big prop has recovered and he is currently training with his teammates.

Strauss confirmed that there are no other injuries in the squad, although JP Nel picked up a bit of bruising against the Blues.

Nel will, however, be back in action on Tuesday.

Meanwhile Blues winger Rene Ranger’s was cited for making a high tackle on Bulls hooker Derick Ku’n in the 32nd minute of the match.

Ku’n required treatment in the blood bin as a result of the tackle.
