The Vodacom Bulls coach Frans Ludeke said on Monday morning that Bryan Habana is the only player that played against the Stormers that will not be able to compete against the Crusaders at Loftus on Friday.

There will be more clarity over Habana’s shoulder injury later this week but it seems as if he is going to be on the sidelines for at least two to four weeks.

Ludeke said that Habana did not tear anything in his shoulder and some good news is that he doesn’t need to go for an operation.

“Bryan is a key player for us, but I am glad that he will be back soon.”

Ludeke said it was wonderful to start the Super 14 with an away win especially after their wobbly first half.

“We were under pressure in the first 40 minutes and we made a lot of mistakes but in the second half our defence and character won us the game.

“I think our mind set, especially in the loose, was excellent and it was good to see that we were so competitive on the ground. It was a real team effort and the loose trio of Pedrie Wannenburg, Wikus van Heerden, Dewald Potgieter and Deon Stegmann did a tremendous job in this department and so did the centres, the props and a player like Derick Ku’n.”
