Clinical New Zealand beat Australia 21-38 in Bledisloe Cup III to go top of The Rugby Championship at Optus Stadium, Perth.

A controversial Jordie Barrett red card could not stop the All Blacks from running out comfortable six tries to three bonus-point winners in the Western Australian sunshine.

New Zealand’s victory moves them ahead of South Africa after two rounds of The Rugby Championship.

Australia and Argentina remain winless – and without points – after two rounds.

The Kiwis will also put the Bledisloe Cup back in the trophy cabinet for a 19th successive year.

David Havilli bagged a brace, Jordie Barrett, Will Jordan, Anton Lienert-Brown, and George Bridge also dotted down for the Kiwis.

Beauden Barrett added two penalties and a conversion, but only one try was converted of the six scored.

Damian McKenzie took over kicking duties and could not find his radar either, missing all his attempts.

Folau Fainga’a, Nic White, and Tom Banks crossed for the beleaguered Aussies in the second half.

Noah Lolesio converted all three but did miss a sitter in the first stanza.

Lolesio also botched a certain try when he kicked a penalty advantage across the field instead of passing when Australia had a four on two overlap.

The Trans-Tasman rivalry has never been as one-sided, and things don’t look likely to change in the foreseeable future.

Australia has only won one of their previous eight Tests versus the men in black.

The All Blacks win sees them sweep the Wallabies for the 18th time, four in the last decade in Bledisloe Cup.

Ian Foster’s charges led 18-0 at the break after two tries by Barrett and Havili

Marika Koroibete had two tries chalked off in the first half, both correctly, one for an offside at the ruck by Samu Kerevi, the other when the winger crawled over from the back of a driving maul.

Beauden Barrett put the Kiwis 6-0 before the fullback got the game’s first try on 17 minutes.

Noah Lolesio had a chance to put his team on the board, but the stand-off missed from in front on 28 minutes.

Jordie Barrett got his marching orders a minute later after he was deemed to have recklessly made contact with Koroibete’s face when attempting to claim a high ball.

The All Blacks, however, did not concede a point while down to 14 men; instead, they scored themselves.

Foster’s men did not concede a point during the 20-minute period with one player off the paddock, an indictment of Australia’s blunt attack.

That, as well as poor decision-making from several players.

Koroibete had his second score disallowed before the visitors struck, something that happens all too often for the winger.

New Zealand crossed the whitewash two minutes later when Havili crashed over after joining the rolling maul on the stroke of halftime.

All Blacks run away with the game after the break despite spirited Wallabies’ fightback

Fainga’a’s converted try put the Wallabies on the board, but the Kiwis struck twice in quick succession to go 28-7 up on the hour.

Jordan finished off a sublime counter-attack after Akira Ioane’s bulldozing run took out four defenders to notch up his 11th Test try.

The 23-year-old winger has now scored in each of his last six Tests, the most by any player from a Tier One nation since 2010; he also has 17 tries in his last 12 matches for club and country.

Havili intercepted a loose pass and raced 70 metres to extend the lead to 21 points.

Australia did not give in. McKenzie had a score taken off for accidental offside in the build-up before White entered the game and scored next to the posts.

Lolesio converted to bring his side to within two goals with 14 minutes remaining.

But the three-time World Champions put their foot down.

Lienert-Brown finished off another sublime attack, set up again by Akira Ioane’s run down the tramlines.

McKenzie, taking over kicking duties, could not convert, but the visitors had their bonus point to return to the top of the log.

There was still time for Bridge to add another score from deep inside the visitors’ half.

TJ Perenara intercepted Rob Valetini’s pass and raced into the Wallabies’ half before sending Bridge away in the corner with a crossfield kick.

Banks managed a score before the hooter, but it ended in an all too familiar defeat for Dave Rennie’s men.
