The Highlanders have made two changes to the starting XV that played the Lions at Carisbrook last weekend for their clash against the Force in Dunedin.

In the forwards, Adam Thomson comes back into the starting XV following his late withdrawal from the Lions match (rib injury sustained against the Chiefs in Hamilton).

Thomson will play his 50th game for the Highlanders this weekend. John Hardie also comes into the pack replacing Alando Soakai, who moves to the reserves.

All Black Tom Donnelly comes back into the reserves, returning from a back injury.

The Highlanders hope to have David Te Moana back next week as is on track to recover from a calf injury.
