The Stormers made a last minute change to the squad as Jean de Villiers was still not 100 % fit and will hopefully make his comeback next week.

The Stormers are hosting the Highlanders in Cape Town. The Highlanders came out strong and scored the first try of the match through Roy Kinikinilau. The try was converted Ben Blair.

However in the 22nd minute Ryno Benjamin scored an excellent solo try by chipping the ball up and over the Highlanders wing. The ball bounced well for Benjamin and he dotted the ball down.

15 Minutes later the Highlanders scored a great try by putting  Roy Kinikinilau into space where he was easily able to dot the ball down to give the Highlanders their second try and the lead.

The sides went in at half time with the score Stormers 10 Highlanders 17 .

The second half was pretty dismal for the Stormers and probably the only hghlight other than their last minute try by Naas Olivier on his debut was the return of Marius Joubert.

The Highlanders on the other hand had a good second half scoring a try but missing out on the fourth try to get the bonus point.

In the 66th minute the Stormers were on attack and Brits made a long pass to Benjamin but the pass was intercepted by Richard Kahui and he got the ball down under the posts to secure the match for the Highlanders.

The Stormers did manage to get a try in the second half by Naas Olivier but it was too little too late and was a result of a minor fumble by Blair. By this time the game had already been won and made no difference to a dismal performance by the Stormers.

The Highlanders however played well enough to take the Stormers out of the game and they will be pleased to have got two wins on the road so far against South African sides.
