Highlanders lose Squire for six weeks

Highlanders and All Black loose forward Liam Squire is expected to miss the next six weeks of Super Rugby after injuring his thumb playing against the Crusaders.

Squire broke his thumb in the Highlanders 25-17 victory over the Crusaders in the first half of the match at Forsyth Barr stadium.

Squire was replaced by Elliot Dixon just before halftime and tests have now confirmed that he has sustained a broken thumb in his right hand

A Highlanders medical report reveled that Squire will be side-lined for up to 6 weeks.
