The second Super Rugby match on Saturday in the final round is in Dunedin where the current champion Highlanders host the Chiefs.

The Highlanders kick off. The Chiefs knock on. Highlanders scrum.

1.00: The Highlanders win the scrum and move the ball wide at pace, Matt Faddes passes the ball but it goes to the Chiefs.

2.00: Penalty to the Highlanders. Lima Sopoaga will have a shot at posts.

3.00: Sopoaga’s kick goes wide.

4.00: Damien McKenzie breaks through a tackle and gets the Chiefs into the Highlanders half. The ball is taken into touch.

5.00: The Highlanders win the line out and run it out of their 22 and then kick it into touch.

6.00: The Chiefs chip the ball ahead. They regain the ball and drive it to the line and Toni Pulu dives over and scores. TRY!

7.00: McKenzie takes the conversion kick and nails it.

9.00: Penalty to the Highlanders. Sopoaga kicks for touch and finds the 5m line. Perfect kick. The Highlanders shuffle as the ball is thrown in but the Chiefs snatch the ball and run it out of their 22.

11.00; The Chiefs work the ball to the half way line but they get shoved into touch. They are called back for a knock on.

13.00: Scrum penalty to the Chiefs. Aaron Cruden kicks for touch.

15.00: The Chiefs win a penalty after the line out and will have a shot. McKenzie lines up the kick. He pulls it.

17.00: The Highlanders go on the attack. They get the ball into the Chiefs 22. Osborne goes for the line but the Highlanders keep the ball alive and drive over. They are held up. The TMO is called in for potential foul play. Nothing comes of the foul play so the try is reviewed. It’s held up.

18.00: Highlanders 5m scrum.

19.00: The Highlanders get a free kick from the scrum. Aaron Smith goes wide to Naholo who is caught but gets the ball away to Smith and he is shoved into touch.

20.00: Lots of aggression here.The Highalnders are awarded the put in for a scrum in the Chiefs 22. Again the Highlanders go to Naholo. They change sides with a cross kick but there was offside so the Highlanders have another penalty. More pushing and shoving breaks out.

22.00: Highlanders take the line out. They win the line out and Naholo slices through and scores.  The TMO will review it. Aaron Cruden was blocked from tackling so no try. Penalty.

23.00:The Chiefs clear the ball into touch. The Highlanders come away with the ball after the line out. They run it through a couple of phases and then kick and chase but the ball goes into touch.

25.00: Highlanders scrum in the Chiefs 22. The Highlanders win the scrum and go to Naholo again. He is stopped but the ball goes out wide.  The ball goes from side to side on attack and the HIghlanders edge closer and closer with the advantage.

26.00: The Highlanders continue the attack, 9 phases. 10 phases and they are called back for the penalty.

28.00: Highlanders win the line out. They move the ball to the other side and then move the ball back. Malakai Fekitoa is stopped JUST short. Highlanders recycle. 11 phases. 12, 13 the Highlanders pressure is immense. 15 phases. Ben Smith grabs the ball and slices and weaves his way through but he is stopped short. Naholo gets the ball and goes for the corner. The TMO will have to review this one. Replays show Naholo scoring with one leg in the air fending off two tackles. Pure class. TRY!

31.00: Sopoaga takes the conversion but misses.

34.00: The Chiefs get on the attack in the Highlanders 22, they look dangerous but when they get the overlap Atu Moli loses the ball in contact.

36.00:The Highlanders win a line out near the half way line. They go wide. The Chiefs get back and force an error. The Highlanders continue the attack and get the ball into the Chiefs 22.

39.00: The Chiefs turn the ball over and work it into the Highlanders 22. The Highlanders win a penalty and they kick the ball into touch.

40.00: It’s half time.

The Chiefs kick off and the second half is underway.

41.00: Penalty to the Chiefs as Naholo and McKenzie connect in the air. McKenzie will have a shot.

42.00: McKenzie takes the kick and nails it to extend the lead.

44.00: Penalty next to the half way line to the Highlanders. Sopoaga will have a shot. He nails it.

47.00: The Chiefs work the ball into the Highlanders 22. They use the pick and go and get to th 5m line.

48.00: Cruden kicks wide to the corner but the ball is caught by Ben Smith.

49.00: The Highlanders kick the ball into space behind the Chiefs. McKenzie gets back but he is shoved into touch. Highlanders 5m line out.

51.00: The Highlanders attack but they get shoved into touch.

53.00: The TMO is called in to review a spear tackle by Tom Sanders on Ben Smith. Sanders is yellow carded. Highlanders kick to the corner.

55.00: The Highlanders are awarded a penalty in the Chiefs 22. They will kick for posts.

56.00: Sopoaga slots the penalty and the Highlanders lead.

57.00: The Highlanders break out the razzle dazzle as they get into space on the wing. Fekitoa offloads to Pryor who offloads to Smith who passes back to Pryor who scores. TRY!  Liam Messam is coming off holding his wrist.

59.00: Sopoaga takes the conversion kick and nails it. Chiefs now have to score twice.

63.00: The Chiefs get the overlap with the corner open but James Lowe gets the ball from Seta Tamanivalu and drops it cold.

66.00: Its all the Chiefs on attack. They get the ball to the 5m line and put the Highlanders under real pressure. 11 phases. They go wide and  Lachlan Boshier scores in the corner. TRY!

68.00: McKenzie takes the conversion from out wide. McKenzie misses .

72.00: The Highlanders go for the corner. Faddes stumbles and the ball is knocked out of his hand. Sopoaga grabs the ball and scores. The TMO reviews. The TRY is awarded.

74.00: Sopoaga adds the conversion from out wide. Brilliant.

75.00: The Highlanders get the ball back to the Chiefs 5m line.

76.00: The Chiefs turn the ball over and try to run it out. – There is an intercept by Naholo – but wait he is yellow carded for a deliberate knock on.

78.00: The Chiefs attack and get into the Highlanders half but they are tackled and the ball goes into touch.

79.00: The Highlanders win the ball after the line out. The Chiefs turn it over and attack. They go wide. The Highlanders steal the ball and they attack.

80.00: The siren sounds – Aaron Smith boots it into touch.

The Highlanders have won and the Hurricanes win the NZ Conference.
