Pote Human will again coach the Blue Bulls in the Currie Cup competition. The Blue Bulls Company has announced the management teams for the rest of the season and Human was appointed as head and set-piece coach.

This was the same as last year’s Currie Cup, when Super 14 mentor Heyneke Meyer stood back and focussed on the global event, while Human took charge of the domestic scene – with Meyer helping out from time to time.

The Bulls, who have played in the Currie Cup final for the past five years, shared the title as country’s premier domestic champions with the Cheetahs.

The Bulls won the Currie Cup in 2002, 2203 and 2004, the Cheetahs won in 2005 and they share the trophy last year.

Human welcomed the trust the Blue Bulls Company put in him.

He expects a tough time for the Bulls as they will have to do without most of their Springbok stars.

However, Human is also optimistic that the depth in Bulls rugby will help the team to pull through.

The Blue Bulls start their campaign on June 22 when they take on the Falcons at Loftus Versfeld.
