Hurricanes player Neemia Tialata has been cited and will appear before a SANZAR Judicial Officer next week.

Tialata was cited for a dangerous tackle in the Super 14 match between the Hurricanes and Western Force at Westpac Stadium in Wellington on Friday.

The Hurricanes won the match 21-10 in atrocious weather conditions which prevented the Hurricanes from collecting an important bonus point that could have secured them a home play off place.

Tialata was cited by Citing Commissioner Steve Hinds for a dangerous tackle on Western Force winger Dane Haylett-Petty.

The incident occurred in the 73rd minute of the match.

Tialata will appear before Judicial Officer Chris Morris at the New Zealand Rugby Union offices in Wellington on Monday the 12th of May.
