The Hurricanes kick off and the match is underway.

1.00:The Rebels kick the ball back to the Hurricanes. The Hurricanes get through the Rebels defence on attack when they go wide but the Rebels scramble and stop the attack about 2m out.

2.00: The Rebels are awarded a penalty about 50m out. Reece Hodge takes the shot and his distance is more than enough but he is off target.

4.00: From the restart the Hurricanes run the ball down the wing. The Rebels stop the attack and the Rebels turn the ball over and kick to the half way line. The Hurricanes run the ball and Ngani Laumape gets up to speed and smashes through four tackles and runs for the posts. TRY!

5.00: Beauden Barrett adds the conversion.

7.00: The Hurricanes are running everything. They are running hard into the Rebels at every opportunity.

8.00: The Hurricanes win a line out on the Rebels 22. They move the ball down the wing to Beauden Barrett who is about fifth down the line and his pace gets him through the Rebels defensive line and he scores. TRY! 

9.00: Barrett converts his try.

11.00: The Hurricanes win the ball from a line out on the 5m line. The ball is loose and goes to ground. The Hurricanes get the ball and go over.  The TMO will have a look. The ruling is that the Hurricanes knocked it forward. No try.

14.00: The Hurricanes go through 11 phases near or on the Rebels 22m line. They go wide and Jordie Barrett offloads to Wes Goosen who races for the corner and scores. TRY! 

15.00: Beauden Barrett hits the post with his conversion.

20.00: The Hurricanes run the ball again from the half way line. They run hard into Rebels tackles and after Asafo Aumua flattens Will Genia the Hurricanes go wide and Vaea Fifita scores. TRY! 

21.00: Barrett adds the conversion.

24.00; The Rebels get the ball into the Hurricanes 22 but the ball is turned over and kicked into touch. The Hurricanes win the line out and kicked further out into touch.

25.00: The Rebels win the line out but then when they get to the middle of the field they knock on.

28.00: The Rebels get the ball to the Hurricanes 5m line. They drive forward to the line and look to be held up on the line but as they go again the whistle goes for a penalty to the Rebels for offside.

29.00: The Rebels choose a scrum on the 5m line. There is a good shove in the scrum and the Rebels nearly score but they get a penalty instead.

30.00: The Rebels win the scrum but the Hurricanes turn the ball over and kick it to safety.

35.00: The Rebels win a line out on the half way line. They go through a couple of phases and the Hurricanes turn the ball over and kick to the corner. Tom English gets back and carries the ball over the line so the Hurricanes have a 5m scrum.

37.00: The Hurricanes win the scrum. Ardie Savea goes over the line with the ball but the ball is lost as he rolls over.

38.00: The Rebels clear the ball into touch and set up a line out for the Hurricanes inside the Rebels half.

39.00: The Hurricanes go on the attack again and they go wide as the siren sounds but there is a foot in touch so it’s half time.

Quade Cooper kicks off and the second half is underway.

42.00: Beauden Barrett chips the ball ahead and after several bounces it goes into touch. The game is paused though as Reece Hodge has taken a knock.

43.00: Hodge is fine and the game resumes.

47.00: Penalty against the Hurricanes from the scrum. Against Chris Eves. Hodge kicks for touch and sets up a line out.

48.00: The Rebels win the line out and kick to the corner after a couple of phases. The kick is too far and goes into touch but they had an advantage so the Rebels take another line out.

50.00:The Rebels get a penalty and take the line out again. This time the Hurricanes turn the ball over and kick it into touch.

Penalty count (conceded): Hurricanes 8 Rebels 1.

53.00: The Rebels win a scrum and run hard at the Hurricanes. They get through and Matt Philip scores under the posts. TRY! Cooper and Hodge combined to get Philip into a space where he could break through.

54.00: Quade Cooper adds the conversion and the Rebels are on the board.

56.00: The Rebels have woken up. They have the Hurricanes on the back-foot and are full of attack. The Hurricanes however turn the ball over and Barrett passes out wide to Goosen but its a hospital pass and he gets flattened taking the ball.

59.00: The Rebels set up a line out on the Hurricanes 5m line. The ball goes in but is won by the Hurricanes. They go through a couple of phases of pick and go and then boot the ball into touch.

61.00: The Rebels are still on attack and Billy Meakes almost gets through but then the Rebels are called back as the Hurricanes have conceded another penalty. They take a scrum. The penalty count is now 11 to 1.

63.00: The Rebels attack and Cooper offloads to English at pace but he loses the ball in the tackle.

64.00: Isi Naisarani breaks through for the Rebels and offloads to Billy Meakes who goes over to score. TRY! That has cost the Hurricanes a bonus point for now.

65.00:Cooper adds the conversion.

66.00: It’s all opening up for the Rebels. They are finding holes across the field. Marika Koroibete gets the Rebels to about a metre out where he is stopped and the Hurricanes turn the ball over. Canes scrum.

69.00: The Hurricanes win the scrum but the Rebels steal the ball in a ruck and they go wide and Reece Hodge goes over in the corner. TRY! 

71.00: Cooper misses the conversion.

75.00: Penalty to the Hurricanes. Jordie Barrett takes the kick and nails it.

77.00: The Rebels win a penalty on the Hurricanes 22m line. They will have a shot at the posts to get them back in line for a bonus point.

78.00: Cooper misses.

79.00: The Hurricanes win a penalty – it’s their third of the match. They kick for touch.

80.00: The siren sounds. The Hurricanes have the ball on attack. They get the ball into the Rebels 22 and chip ahead but the ball goes into touch which ends the game.
