Jantjies starts for Lions against Blues

Lions head coach Johan Ackermann has been able to name Elton Jantjies in his starting team to play the Blues at Emirates Airline (Ellis) Park on Saturday.

Jantjies was in doubt for the match but has recovered from injury and starts alongside Ross Cronjé who pushes Faf de Klerk to the bench.

The Lions will also have their regular front row back with both Malcolm Marx and Julian Redelinghuys back in the starting line-up.

Both have been out due to injuries and replaces Akker van der Merwe and Pieter Scholtz respectively in the front row.

At centre Rohan Janse van Rensburg will partner Lionel Mapoe in midfield with Howard Mnisi moving to the bench.

A new face among the replacements is new recruit Sylvian Mahuza who has been in action for the Golden Lions XV in the Currie Cup Qualifying round.
