Cheetahs’ No.8 Kabamba Floors has been suspended for five Super 14 matches after being found guilty of a dangerous tackle on the Brumbies’ Julian Huxley.
Floors received a yellow card for his 77th-minute tackle on the Brumbies fullback in the Brumbies’ 61-15 win at Canberra on Saturday.
Huxley, who was having his first Super 14 start since returning from a lengthy layoff due to the removal of a brain tumor, emerged from the tackle unhurt.
Judicial officer Dennis Wheelahan said Sunday he hoped the length of the suspension would act as a general deterrent because of the increasing number of dangerous tackles in Super 14.
