Kelleher unlikely to play against Brumbies

Byron Kelleher might not play this week in the Chiefs match against the Brumbies in Canberra. Kelleher picked up a rib injury in the match against the Reds and he aggravated it in the match against the Crusaders.

He is also not training with the squad at the moment as he is in America after the death of his partner’s father passed away.

He will only join up with the team on Thursday morning and the coach Ian Foster is going to rely on Kelleher’s own judgement on whether he is fit enough to play against the Brumbies.

Jamie Nutbrown is the likely replacement should Kelleher not be 100 % fit.

Sosene Anesi underwent neurological tests today to see if he can play against the Brumbies after he picked up a knock in the Commonweath Sevens which New Zealand won.
