Pumas winger Allister Ketteldas has been cleared on a dangerous tackle charge and will be facing his former Eagles team-mates in Witbank on Friday night if he should recover from a bout of flu.

Ketteldas is one of seven former South Western Districts players in the Pumas’ 22 for the match.

he others are flyhalf Valentine van Wyk, number eight Doppies le Roux, tighthead Ashley Buys, hooker Hannes Franklin, reserve scrumhalf Hendrik van der Nest and reserve back Ashwin Scott.

Pumas flanker Jaco Bouwer, is also under an injury cloud and should start, but Martin Sithole could get an opportunity if Bouwer can’t play.

If Kettledas is unable to play, fullback MJ Mentz will move to the wing, inside centre Shaun Venter to fullback and Hyron Thysse will start at inside centre.

New acquisition Ronnie Uys will start his first game in the Grey jersey on the bench as an impact player, but it shouldn’t take long for Uys to cement his place in the Starting XV.
