The Bulls also won last week as they beat the Cheetahs 23-18 in Pretoria. The Bulls have now played five matches and won three, drawn one and lost one.

The Southern Kings have played five as well but they have won one and lost four.

The Bulls have played the Southern Kings twice before in Super Rugby as the Kings were in Super Rugby in 2013. The Bulls won the first match 48-18 and the second 0-34.

The average score when the Kings play the Bulls is therefore: Southern Kings 9 Bulls 41.

For this match the Bulls have started former Southern Kings back SP Marais at fullback in what will be his second match for the Bulls. Jesse Kriel returns to the midfield to partner Jan Serfontein in the midfield.

Jesse Kriel’s twin brother, Dan, moves onto the bench and could make his Super Rugby debut should he take to the field.

Rudy Paige is also out injured and Piet van Zyl will start at nine for the first time this year, with Ivan van Zyl remaining on the bench as back-up scrumhalf.

In changes to the pack, Arno Botha returns to the no8 position, replacing Nic de Jager, while Lappies Labuschagne is back in the starting pack. He replaces Roelof Smit, who moves to the bench.

In another change, Trevor Nyakane will start, with Lizo Gqoboka dropping out.

The Bookies have given the Southern Kings a 15 point start for this Match – with an offer of up to $200 in Bonus bets. The Bulls are an improving team and they should win this by 14.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ, Aus, SA and in the UK on Sky Sports 2 on the Red Button.
