WP Rugby President Mr Koos Basson has announced that backline coach Kobus Van Der Merwe has been appointed Head Coach for WP Rugby.
The appointment is valid until the end of the 2005 Absa Currie Cup, at which time it will be reassessed.
The decision was taken by the President after consultation with WP’s Director of Rugby, Nick Mallett. It was deemed necessary and in the interest of the team to have a head coach responsible for coaching the team.
