Brumbies fly-half says that his Canberra Super Rugby side are proud of the performance in their 52-10 victory over the Hurricanes but they will continue to look for ways to improve.
The Brumbies scored seven tries on their way to beating last year’s Super Rugby finalists and now sit on top of the Super Rugby standings
Fly-half Leali’ifano had an exceptional match with the boot as he converted all seven tries and kicked a penalty to finish with a tally of 17 points from the match.
Fly-half Christian Leali’ifano finished with 17 points from seven conversions and a penalty goal from nine shots at goal.
“To come out and put in a performance like that in our first game before our home fans is something we are really proud of and something to build on moving forward,” said Leali’ifano after the match.
“We are trying to create some space for the backs to free them up a bit more and be a bit more potent along with our backrow.”
The Brumbies are at home again next week as they host 2014 champions and Australian Conference rivals the Waratahs on Friday.
