Johannesburg based Super rugby team the Lions have revealed that they expect to have captain Warren Whiteley back on the playing field in the next few weeks.
The Lions have released a medical report in which they state that Warren Whiteley has a small cartilage tear in the knee, which will settle over the next few weeks. He picked up this injury in the clash with the Chiefs.
In other news Cyle Brink has a mild strain of his knee which he sustained against the Crusaders, and should be ready for the next match.
Sylvian Mahuza, also a casualty of the Crusaders match, has a LCL injury of his left knee and the Lions Rugby Company medical team is investigating further.
The Lions have a bye this week which gives their injured players extra time to recover.
