Lions make two changes for Sharks

Lions coach Eugene ‘Loffie’ Eloff has made just two changes for their match against the Sharks this weekend at Ellis Park.

Jaco van Schalkwyk will replace the injured Louis Strydom at flyhalf and Anton van Zyl comes into the team at lock for Willem Stoltz.

After the Lions lost to the Bulls who only had 13 men on the field at one stage the coach admitted that things were not going the way they had hoped.

“This is not the perfect start we had in mind for the 2008 Super 1 but I will always believe in this team, win or lose. I will stand by them and by the Lions. ” he says on the team’s web site.

“I experienced the same disappointment that I’m sure most of our supporters experienced, and in retrospect, we should have won three out of our four matches so far, instead of just one.”

“We’ve been in this position before, and know how to get out of it. We just need to do it.”
