Lions name team to play Waratahs

The Johannesburg based Super Rugby franchise the Lions have named a team with three changes for this Saturday’s match against the Waratahs from Sydney.

Harold Vorster, Ross Cronjé  and Robbie Coetzee all come into the Lions starting line-up for this weekend’s match which is the Lions first at home this season.

Vorster comes into the side for Howard Mnisi who injured his knee in the first round clash against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein last weekend.

Mnisi will go under the knife next week after the swelling has subsided.

Dylan Smith has recovered from his shoulder injury and comes in on the bench, as does Sylvian Mahuza.

Ross Cronje will reach a great milestone this weekend, by playing his 50th Super Rugby game for the Lions.

In other news the Lions have announced that Stokkies Hanekom will join the Southern Kings on a loan basis while Koch Marx joins Griquas, also on loan.
