Ma’a Nonu set for Super 14 final

The Hurricanes midfielder Ma’a Nonu was an early injury concern but went through Wednesday’s training session without a hitch.

Nonu had been struggling with a hamstring injury early in the week and there were early fears that the All Black could miss the Super 14 final.

He has now been declared a “likely starter” for Saturday’s big Crusaders vs. Hurricanes super 14 final clash.

Nonu’s performance in the match will be eagerly watched by Graham Henry who will announce the 39 strong All Black squad on Sunday. Henry is said to favour Crusaders midfielder Casey Laulala for the All Black No 13 jersey.
