The Blues have named their team to face the Waratahs. Coach Nucifora has wasted no time in getting Luke McAlister back in the fold and he is named at 12.

McAlister has been injured since fracturing his jaw in the second-round clash against the Highlanders in Dunedin so he will need to get up to speed quickly.

Doug Howlett is still not in contention with his hamstring strain so Vili Waqaseduadua takes his place. Poluleuligaga comes in on the bench for Steve Devine who was ruled out with a calf injury.

Last week the Blues beat the Brumbies convincingly and Nucifora is expecting a tough back line battle.
