Dick Muir has pencilled in Bradley Barritt’s name on the teamsheet for the Sharks match against the Waratahs as he must face a fitness test according to the Sharks website.

This means that the centre combination could change from last week and the call will be made at Thursday afternoon training.

Jannie du Plessis and BJ Botha have been rotated, with BJ earned a much-deserved rest and will play off the bench, while Jannie, brother of hooker Bismarck du Plessis, has been named to start after being left out of last week’s game with a muscle strain.

The loss of Steven Sykes to an ankle ligament injury sustained last week has also seen a change in the second row, with Albert van den Berg being named in the number 4 jumper and Sykes having departed for Durban this morning (Sydney time).

Muir has opted for a 5-2 split on the bench, with Jean Deysel coming into the side and Ruan Pienaar and Adrian Jacobs filling in for the backline replacements.
