Sharks captain Johann Muller will start at lock against the log-leading Griquas at the Absa stadium on Saturday afternoon after a six-week injury lay-off after suffering a broken arm in the first round of the Currie Cup.

He is not the only familiar face who returns to the starting line-up, though, with Waylon Murray getting his first start as a result of a hip injury to centre Riaan Swanepoel.

Charl McLeod and Monty Dumond will continue in the 9-10 channel although Rory Kockott has been bracketed on the bench, but Juan Martin Hernandez will not feature at all as a result of an ankle injury sustained against the Leopards.

There is also an injury cloud over Deon Carstens, who has been bracketed with Pat Cilliers at loosehead prop, while exciting Wiehan Herbst will start at tighthead.

With Ryan Kankowski and Odwa Ndungane not available as a result of Springbok TriNations commitments, Keegan Daniel will start at No 8 and young Chris Jordaan will slot in on the wing.

The Sharks:

Stefan Terblanche (C), Chris Jordaan, Waylon Murray, Andries Strauss, Lwazi Mvovo, Monty Dumond, Charl McLeod, Keegan Daniel, Jean Deysel, Jacques Botes, Johann Muller, Steven Sykes, Wiehahn Herbst, Craig Burden, Deon Carstens/Patric Cilliers.

Replacements: Skipper Badenhorst, Patric Cilliers/Deon Carstens, Albert van den Berg, Justin Downey, Ross Cronje/Rory Kockott, Guy Cronje, Patrick Lambie.
