New Zealand beat Argentina in La Plata





Argentina will go into this match on the back of their best ever away Rugby Championship result but still in search of their first win.

We are waiting for the kick off.
The All Blacks kick off and we are underway.
1.00: Penalty to Argentina. Marcello Bosch will kick.
2.00: Bosch takes the kick but misses.
4.00: Argentina work the ball into the New Zealand 22. Their momentum slows so they go for a drop goal but it’s low and off.
5.00: Argentina are really taking the game to the All Blacks. Nonu gets an ankle ankle tackle Juan Imhoff to save what might have been a try.
8.00: Penalty to Argentina. Nicolas Sanchez takes the kick and slots it. The Pumas lead.
12.00: Penalty to the All Blacks. Aaron Cruden takes the kick from 35m or so out. He nails it. The scores are level.
15.00: Another penalty is awarded to the Pumas so Sanchez gets another shot and again he nails it. Argentina lead again.
19.00: No shortage of penalties in this contest. The Pumas have another penalty (from a scrum) but this one Sanchez misses.
21.00: The All Blacks break out as Julian Savea flies down the wing and races in for the try. However we go back as Kieran Read looked to be offside earlier on. Actually the TMO is not going back that far as they are looking at a knock on. TMO says that the TRY is good.
22.00:Aaron Cruden takes the conversion kick from almost the touchline. He misses. But wait, He gets to take it again as the Pumas charged up early. This one he misses too.
27.00: Yet another penalty. This one is for the All Blacks so Cruden takes the kick and slots it.
29.00: The All Black scrum is crushed by the Pumas scrum and it wins a penalty. They will kick for posts. Sanchez takes the kick and slots it.
35.00: The Pumas try to run the ball out of their 22 but the pass to Bosch is too big and he controls it but has to run backwards. The Pumas hold possession but lose their momentum.
37.00: There is a break in play as Marcos Ayerza gets some medical help. The game resumes with an All Black scrum.  
40.00: The All Blacks have the ball as the siren sounds. They are on the attack near the half way line. Dagg chips the ball through but it goes into touch.
It’s half time.

Owen Franks has been replaced by Charlie Faumuina.
The second half is underway.
Argentina kick off and it goes too far so we have a scrum on the half way line.
42.00: Argentina win another penalty from the scrum so they will kick for posts. Bosch takes the shot and he nails it from the half way line. The Pumas lead.
44.00: Penalty to the All Blacks. Figallo going over the top. Cruden takes the kick and slots it. The All Blacks lead again.
48.00: Some scrappy play by the All Blacks sees them having to chase the ball back into their own half and scramble to regather the ball. Eventually the ball goes out.
51.00: The All Blacks up the tempo with some hard running at the Pumas. They try changing directions but the Pumas hang on. The All Blacks go through 13 phases and they go wide and Sam Cane scores. TRY!
52.00: Aaron Cruden takes the conversion kick and it misses after shaving the posts.
53.00: Keven Mealamu is on for Andrew Hore. The All Blacks win a line out and they get the ball to Ben Smith who slips through the Pumas back line after a deft pass from Nonu and races for the line to score. TRY!
54.00: Aaron Cruden slots the conversion.
57.00: The All Blacks almost get away again as Conrad Smith breaks but Nonu is just shoved into touch. All Blacks looking dangerous now.
60.00: Felipe Contepomi comes on for the Pumas. They win a penalty and kick for touch.
63.00: Penalty in front for the Pumas. Sanchez takes the kick and slots it.
64.00: After Argentina fumble the ball Julian Savea chases the ball and knocks it on and a try goes begging.
68.00: The All Blacks continue to attack but the Pumas are holding them out.
71.00: Penalty to the Pumas as the All Blacks attack. They kick for touch.
76.00: The All Blacks continue to search for the bonus point try but the Pumas defence is outstanding.
78.00: Argentina are trying to pin the All Blacks back but they are also giving the All Blacks the ball. The Pumas concede a penalty so the All Blacks kick for the corner.
The All Blacks win the line out and Ben Smith slips through the defence and scores under the posts. BONUS POINT TRY!
Beauden Barrett adds the conversion and the All Blacks have won.
