New Zealand beat Wales in Wellington




The All Blacks will end Wales’ hopes of a series victory if they win this weekend’s match between New Zealand and Wales in Wellington on Saturday.

We are waiting for the kick off.

The All Blacks have done the Haka and the match is about to begin.

Aaron Cruden kicks off and the match is underway.

1.00: Jamie Roberts and Malakai Fekitoa connect in a big tackle. Fekitoa comes off for blood and Roberts gets patched up.

2.00: The All Blacks win a line out and attack Wales. They go through five phases before Wales turn the ball over and kick it upfield.

3.00; Again the All Blacks win the line out but there is a knock on so Wales have a scrum.

5.00: Wales win the ball and attack. The All Blacks win the ball and kick it deep. Wales take the ball into touch.

6.00: The All Blacks win the line out and attack Wales on their 22m line.

7.00: New Zealand go through 8 phases as Wales press them back out of their 22. On the 10th phase Wales win a penalty. Dan Biggar kicks for touch and the line out.

9.00: Wales win the line out and run at the All Blacks. They move the ball wide and then come back in where they make ground on the wing. Rhys Webb loses the ball in the tackle though and the attack is killed off.

11.00: The All Blacks work the ball into Welsh territory but Wales turn the ball over and kick deep.

13.00: Israel Dagg gets the ball and runs with it. He chips ahead and Wales boot it back. There is a period of broken play in which Dane Coles shows great acceleration before being caught. Wales (Jonathan Davies) kick the ball out on the full.

14.00: Wales get a penalty from the breakdown so Biggar kicks for touch. Wales win the line out and then a penalty from the breakdown – Not releasing. Malakai Fekitoa comes back on and Seta Tamanivalu goes off. Biggar will have a shot at goal.

15.00: Biggar takes the shot and nails it. Wales lead.

18.00: The All Blacks get the ball from a kick near the half way line. Waisake Naholo runs down the wing and bounces off a couple of tackles before being caught. Wales concede a penalty at the breakdown. Cruden kicks for touch and finds it 8m out.

19.00: The All Blacks win the line out and run the ball wide. They get the overlap but Dagg sells the dummy and cuts back in and scores on his 50th cap – TRY! All Blacks lead.

21.00: Cruden takes the conversion and nails it.

23.00: Penalty to Wales from the line out. Before Biggar can kick the ball into touch Gethin Jenkins has to get some attention for blood. Rob Evans comes on.

24.00: Wales comes away with the ball at the line out. It’s messy though so they chip the ball up and chase. Naholo gets the ball and boots it back into touch.

26.00: Wales go through 7 phases and the ball slows. They keep possession of the ball near the half way line and then boot it high. They regain the ball and continue the attack.

27.00: After 15 phases the All Blacks win a penalty and take a quick tap. They get straight into the Welsh 22.

28.00: The All Blacks get the advantage but might not need it as they press Wales back further into their 22. 9 phases but then they get called back for a high tackle. Cruden will kick for posts.

29.00: Cruden bangs over the penalty and extends the lead.

31.00: The All Blacks have the ball and go through 5 phases before Wales turn it over. They run the ball but the whistle goes as Aaron Cruden is down. He may need a stretcher. Beauden Barrett is on. Cruden is about to be driven off on a stretcher in the medical buggy. After a long break Cruden is driven off.

32.00: The game resumes with a scrum for Wales. They win a penalty for the front row collapsing. Biggar will kick for touch.

34.00: Wales win a scrum and move it wide. They chip ahead to chase but Malakai Fekitoa makes the mark. The All Blacks kick deep.

35.00: Wales win a penalty for obstruction. Instead of going for posts they take the line out option.

36.00: Wales win the line out but get shoved into touch. The All Blacks win the line out and kick deep.

37.00: Wales get the ball near the half way line. They run the ball into the New Zealand 22. 9 phases on attack.

38.00: The All Blacks turn the ball over and Barrett kicks it out on the full. Wales win the line out and attack. Jonathan Davies gets Wales on the front foot.

39.00: Wales go to the right and then come back to the left and Alun Wyn Jones gets the ball in space and scores. TRY!

40.00: Biggar takes the conversion kick from out wide and nails it.

Dan Biggar kicks off and the second half is under way.

41.00: Wales make a good start to the match but their attack is read by  Seta Tamanivalu and he knocks the ball on in the tackle.

43.00: Wales win the scrum and Liam Williams kicks ahead and chases. However Beauden Barrett shows his pace and gets the ball and makes the mark. All Blacks kick for touch.

46.00: The All Blacks win a scrum in the Welsh half. They run the ball and kick wide. Liam Williams and Waisake Naholo go for the ball and both go down. Naholo is judged to have tackled Williams in the air so Wales have a penalty.

47.00: Wales take the line out and win it but the pass is forward.

49.00: The All Blacks get the ball and attack Wales in their half. Dane Coles gets them closer to the line and they continue the attack. Wales get the ball and kick it. New Zealand counter attack but then the ball from Aaron Smith is intercepted and Sam Warburton races through – he offloads to Faletau but the ball is lost and goes to ground.

51.00: The All Blacks win the scrum and as they go down the line Barrett gets into space and passes to Ben Smith who races away on his 50th cap and scores. TRY!

53.00: Barrett slots the conversion.

54.00: Aaron Smith bursts into life for the All Blacks and makes huge ground. The All Blacks get the ball to the 5m line where Wales knock on. 5m scrum attacking scrum.

55.00: New Zealand win the scrum Beauden Barrett slices through Wales and scores. TRY! He adds the conversion.

57.00: The All Blacks are opening up Wales now. They kick ahead and Fekitoa chases and almost gets the ball in space, Wales scramble and recycle and continue the attack. Wales are caught offside.

59.00: The All Blacks win a scrum on the 5m line, Read passes out to Naholo who trots in the try unopposed. TRY!

60.00: Barrett takes the conversion from out wide. He misses.

62.00: Wales get a line out in the New Zealand 22 after a penalty. They set up the maul and drive towards the line.

64.00: Wales try the chip kick but are called back for an earlier penalty. They take the 5m line out option.

65.00: Wales win the line out but the All Blacks turn the ball over and run it. Naholo offloads to Perenara who passes to Ardie Savea who races away and scores. TRY!

67.00: Barrett takes the conversion kick and nails it.

69.00: The All Blacks are finding space all over the field and Wales are having to scramble. Wales get some respite as they win a penalty for obstruction.

70.00: Wales run the ball into the New Zealand half. It’s slow but steady through 8 phases.

Wales go through 16 phases but get pushed back. When you think they just can’t get through Liam Williams races through and beats Israel Dagg to the line and scores. TRY!

74.00: Biggar adds the conversion but Wales look tired. Biggar comes off.

76.00: Jamie Roberts gets the ball in space and runs for the line. He runs out of steam but passes to Jonathan Davies who crashes over and scores. TRY!

77.00: Priestland hooks the conversion.

79.00: The All Blacks hold on to the ball and go through 6 phases.

80.00: The siren sounds but the All Blacks want more tries. They go wide on the 8th phase and Ryan Crotty looks to have scored in the corner. The TMO will decide. No try. Foot in touch.
