New Zealand beat Wales in Dunedin

New Zealand are strong favourites to beat Wales in Dunedin this weekend and with it a clean sweep of victories from three Tests.

Match detail

We are waiting for the kick off.

Beauden Barrett kicks off and the match is underway.

1.00: The ball is knocked on in the first minute. Wales get a free kick from the scrum and they tap it and run.

2.00: The All Blacks turn the ball over and kick it back to Wales. Wales start going through the phases near the half way line.

3.00: Wales win a penalty for not releasing. Dan Biggar kicks to the corner to go for the line out and try. Biggar has taken a knock.

4.00: Wales win the line out and then a penalty for not rolling away. Biggar lines up the posts.

5.00: Biggar takes the shot and nails it. Wales lead.

7.00: Wales turn the ball over in the New Zealand half. They almost get to the 22m line but the All Blacks have to scramble in defence.

8.00: Wales go through 9 phases on attack. They go wide and the ball is kicked over the dead ball line. 22 drop out.

11.00: The All Blacks work the ball up to the Welsh 22m line after a scrum. They go through the phases on attack. Barrett almost gets through but he is tackled. The ball stays alive but then there is a knock on.

14.00: The All Blacks continue to apply pressure in the Welsh 22. Aaron Smith supplies quick fast ball and the All Blacks have the advantage. Barrett kicks to the corner and Wales get back to save the try. We go back for the penalty.

15.00: Barrett takes the shot and nails it. The scores are level.

17.00: Penalty to Wales. Biggar lines up the kick and nails it. Wales lead again.

20.00: The All Blacks get the ball and spread it quickly across the field. Ben Smith gets the ball from Beauden Barrett and races to the line, he is tackled and rolls over the line but is held up. All Black 5m scrum.

22.00: The scrum is reset. The All Blacks win the scrum and run at Wales. They get close but Wales defend and slow down the attack. They go wide though and Ben Smith goes over in the corner. The TMO will decide. It’s a tough one. So close. It’s a TRY!

24.00: Barrett misses the conversion from out wide.

26.00: New Zealand win a penalty after a break in Welsh territory. Barrett takes the shot and nails it.

28.00: Wales go through six phases in their half. The ball is slow so they kick upfield. Ben Smith gets the ball and charges forward. Wales are on the backfoot as they scramble in defence. George Moala appears to have gone over and scored. The TMO will check. Moala is judged to have lost the ball. Harsh. Wales get a 5m scrum.

30.00: Wales win a penalty from the scrum. Biggar clears the ball into touch.

33.00: The All Blacks win the line out and charge forward. Wales try to defend but the pace is too quick and Coles almost gets through. The All Blacks change sides and get to the line and this time George Moala scores. TRY! Dagg deserves a special mention for handling the ball twice in that attack.

34.00: Barrett adds the conversion.

37.00: Wales try to hit back immediately. They get the ball to the All Black line after a line out  and maul.  The All Blacks hold them out though. Wales 5m scrum. All Blacks warned that a yellow card is coming.

39.00: Wales win the scrum and attack. They get to the line again. Six phases and they go wide but the ball goes to ground.

40.00: The siren sounds and the All Blacks have turned the ball over. They run the ball out of their 22 and then kick and the ball goes into touch.

It’s half time.

Wales kick off and the second half is underway.

41.00; The All Blacks almost get the perfect start as Elliot Dixon gets the ball in space on the wing. He is tackled but the All Blacks keep the ball alive and work it to the tryline.

42.00: Wales turn the ball over but run it out and pass it forward.

43.00: The All Blacks pass the ball down the line and Beauden Barrett crashes over and scores. TRY!

45.00: Barrett adds the conversion.

46.00: Wales win a line out in the New Zealand half. The ball is slow which gives the All Blacks time to set their defence. Sam Cane is yellow carded.

47.00: Wales go through 13 phases but then they get pushed into touch.

48.00: The All Blacks win the line out and kick the ball into touch. Rhys Patchell gets to the ball and looks like he will take the quick line out but he stumbles over the flag. Moala comes of injured and Waisake Naholo comes on for New Zealand.

50.00: Penalty to the All Blacks. Barrett kicks for touch.

51.00: The All Blacks win the line out and move the ball across the field. They kick back across but Biggar is there and makes the mark. He kicks upfield but Dagg kicks the ball back and it goes straight into touch.

52.00: Ofa Tu’ungafasi comes on to make his Test debut and Joe Moody comes off.

52.00: Wales judged to have taken the ball into touch as Biggar jumps high for the ball. The All Blacks win the line out and attack. They get into Wales’ half but the ball changes hands a few times and eventually Wales clear.

55.00: Liam Squire comes on for his Test debut replacing Elliot Dixon.

56.00: Sam Cane comes back on from the bin. The All Blacks win a line out and Liam Sopoaga (for Crotty) who has just come on passes out to Beauden Barrett who slips off a weak tackle due to his pace and races away to score his second TRY!

58.00: Barrett takes the conversion kick and nails it.

59.00: Jake Ball comes on for Luke Charteris. The All Blacks win a line out and use the maul briefly before kicking deep. Wales try to counter but the All Blacks turn the ball over.

61.00: Wales turn the ball over in attack in their 22. They kick the ball away and the All Blacks counter attack and get to the 5m line.

62.00: Sam Cane offloads a quick short pass to Dane Coles who races through and scores. TRY!

63.00: Barrett adds the conversion.

65.00: Penalty to Wales. Joining the maul incorrectly. Wales kick for touch and the line out.

67.00: Wales are fighting back. They have the ball in New Zealand’s half. They go through the phases but then the AB’s turn the ball over and run. The ball goes wide to Israel Dagg who races down the line – he gets past one but Liam Williams just gets him into touch and saves a try.

69.00 : Ellis Jenkins comes on for Sam Warburton. The All Blacks have a scrum in the Welsh 22. Wales win the scrum and clear. The ball fails to find touch so the All Blacks start their attack.

70.00: Wales penalised at the breakdown. Lima Sopoaga kicks for touch.

71.00: The All Blacks win the line out and the ball comes loose. Liam Sopoaga goes over the line for the All Blacks but he is judged to have knocked on.

74.00: Wales look tired as the All Blacks play the game in the Welsh half. Wales win the ball from a scrum and kick upfield but again they fail to find touch. New Zealand begin the counter attack.

75.00: Beauden Barrett tries to break through but the ball is lost.

78.00: The game has taken a funny shape. Lots of balls being fumbled. This time by Wales in the tackle.

79.00: The All Blacks go through 5 phases before the ball goes dead.

80.07: The siren sounds. There is time for a scrum.

81.00: Wales come away with the ball and go through 6 phases. The All Blacks turn the ball over but Barrett’s pass is intercepted. He is stopped but Wales keep the ball alive and work it into the All Black 22.

82.00: The All Blacks turn the ball over and Israel Dagg gets it and races down the wing and scores  a length of the field TRY!

83.00: Barrett adds the conversion.

Thats it. The All Blacks have won.
