Crusaders Super Rugby head coach Scott Robertson has retained the 23 man team that beat the Chiefs for the 2017 Super Rugby final in Johannesburg.

There had been some concerns over the fitness of All Black captain Kieran Read and Owen Franks but they have come through and will start the match.

Crusaders coach Robinson said that Read and Franks were “100%” and that the team had travelled well to South Africa.

Robinson said that the Crusaders were wary of the Lions kicking game but that they had spent much of the week recovering from the jet lag and travel fatigue.

The Crusaders won their first three Super rugby titles away from home and Robinson said that this was a chance for the current group of players to create a legacy of their own.
