The decision comes as a boost for the Waratahs ahead of Sunday’s clash with the Brumbies in
‘Sam’s a mature customer for someone of his age and his skill set is outstanding,’ HSBC Waratahs head coach Ewen McKenzie said.
‘He’s got great vision and speed and he possesses the x-factor required to spark a backline.
‘The fact he’s shown himself to be equally at home in a number of positions is also a bonus.’
Norton-Knight has played 22 Super 14 matches for the Waratahs since the start of the 2006 season, after playing 9 matches for the Brumbies in his debut year 2005.
He also represented
‘I’ve had a really happy two years here and I saw no reason for why it should not continue,’ Norton-Knight said.
‘The place is headed in the right direction on and off the field and from a playing perspective I felt this was the place to be, and what’s more, I never really considered moving.’
The new agreement comes into effect from the start of the 2008 season.
