Only One Change to Chiefs Line-Up to Take on the Blues

An almost unchanged Chiefs team will line up against the Blues in Auckland this Saturday night in the final round of the Rebel Sport Super 14.

Chiefs coach Ian Foster is sticking with his team from last week that beat the Waratahs at Waikato Stadium, except for the selection of Ben Castle at tighthead prop. Castle replaces Nathan White who injured his knee in last Saturday’s match.

Foster says the Chiefs are looking forward to playing the Blues – a match which always brings out intense rivalry from both sides.

Saturday night’s game at Eden Park will be the final match of the season for the Chiefs, having narrowly missed out on semi-final contention in this campaign.

‘This last game is an opportunity, not only to end the season well, but to really build on our performances of the past six weeks.’

On the injury front, hooker Tom Willis was ruled out of contention again this week due to concussion. Meanwhile centre Niva Ta’asuo’s ankle injury was on the improve but its progress was not good enough to gain him selection this week.

The Chiefs v Blues match will be played on Saturday 14 May at Eden Park in Auckland. Kick off is 7.35pm
