Western Province are not doing any Springbok rugby any favours by not fielding Ricky Januarie and Andries Bekker in their side to play Boland in Wellington on Saturday.

Scrumhalf Ricky Januarie and lock Andries Bekker were made available by the Springboks and could both have added great value to the Province side which failed so dismally in Kimberley last weekend.

Adriaan Fondse returns to the starting line-up at the expense of Anton van Zyl in the side to play the Wellington derby against Boland on Saturday.

On paper, Province are fielding a side capable of burying Boland in the Wellington swamps, but after defeats there in recent years the ‘Streeptruie’ will be treading lighty, more so as the current side’s limitations were so cruelly exposed in Kimberley.

Kick-off is at 3pm.

Team:

Joe Pietersen; Tonderai Chavhanga, Juan De Jongh, Morgan Newman, Gio Aplon; Peter Grant, Dewaldt Duvenage; Luke Watson (capt), Duane Vermeulen, Francois Louw, Adriaan Fondse, Chris Jack, Brok Harris, Tiaan Liebenberg, Wicus Blaauw.

Replacements – Deon Fourie, JD Moller, Anton Van Zyl, Pieter Louw, Bolla Conradie, Paul Bosch, JJ Engelbrecht.
