Reds go down to Crusaders

The Crusaders were looking for their first win of the season and hosted the Reds of Queensland and at half time the score was 14 to 8.

The Reds got themselves back into the game in the 36th minute when Greg Holmes socred a try for the Reds but it was not converted.

Schifcofske kept the Reds within reach as the hooter blew with a penalty.

The Crusaders however were the first to score a try as Stephen Brett found a hole and ran through for his try.

Two late tries saw the Crusaders steal a hard-earned 33-22 win over the Reds in their Super 14 Round Two match at Jade Stadium in Christchurch on Saturday.

The Reds were in the lead with seven minutes to go, but tries by Scott Hamilton and replacement Brent Ward – along with a conversion by Stephen Brett – saw the Crusaders secure a bonus-point win.

Final Score 33-22.
