Reds v Cheetahs Rd.10 Super Rugby Preview

Super Rugby moves to Australia in the third match in Round 10 on Saturday as the Reds host the Cheetahs in Brisbane at Suncorp Stadium.

The Reds and the Cheetahs were both on the losing side last week. The Reds were beaten by the Stormers in Cape Town while the Cheetahs were beaten by the Rebels.

Although the Reds will be at home they are the team who will have traveled more for this match so they could suffer from fatigue late in the match.

The Reds have played the Cheetahs 9 times since 2006 and they have won 67% of their matches. The Reds have hosted the Cheetahs on four occasions in Brisbane and the Reds have won all four.

The Reds are therefore undefeated at home against the Cheetahs and the average score when the teams meet is : Reds 32 Cheetahs 14.

The Cheetahs have rotated some of their players for this week and started Fred Zeilinga in place of Niel Marais who has been a solid performer for the Bloemfontein side.

In the forwards Carl Wegner starts the match in the second with at No.4 which pushes Francois Uys to the replacements. Lood de Jager moves across and into the No 5 jersey for this week and Paul Schoeman moves from No 8 to flank with Henco Venter at eighthman.

The Reds on the other hand have retained the team that lost to the Stormers. The Queenslanders have been improving in recent weeks but they have not yet been able to maintain their performances for 80 minutes.

The Bookies have given the Cheetahs a 6 point start for this Match – with an offer of up to $200 in Bonus bets . The Cheetahs have never won in Brisbane and this year they only have wins against the Sunwolves behind them. The Reds should win this by 5 points.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ (Sky), Aus (Fox Sports), SA (SuperSport) and in the UK on Sky Sports 5.
