The Reds have played the Waratahs 31 times in Super rugby since 1996 and the Reds have won 13 matches, drawn 1 and lost 17 times.

The Reds kick off and the match is underway.

1.00: Taniela Tupou gives away a penalty for hands in the ruck. Bernard Foley will have a shot.

2.00: Foley misses the kick.

3.00: The Waratahs get the ball back and attack in the Reds 22. The Waratahs go through several phases and then Foley gets the ball and beats Tupou and goes for the line. He rolls through the tackle and scores. TRY! 

5.00: Foley lines up the conversion. He nails it.

6.00: The Reds look to hit back immediately. A Waratahs kick is charged down. After a couple of phases JP Smith goes for the line with the ball. The TMO is called in to review the try. No try but the Reds have a 5m scrum.

9.00: The scrum has to be reset. The Reds win the scrum and go for the corner. They have a couple of goes at the line and Angus Blyth scores. TRY! 

10.00: Bryce Hegarty takes the conversion from outwide. He hits the post.

13.00: The Reds look like they have nothing on in attack but then Samu Kerevi breaks through a couple of tackles and sucks in two more and offloads to Jock Campbell who scores. TRY! 

15.00: Hegarty misses the conversion again.

19.00: The Waratahs work the ball into the Reds 22. They through 5 phases and Foley offloads to Beale who slices through but is  slowed  but he has enough momentum to go over the line and score. The TMO will review it. Replays appear to show Beale passes the ball back to Michael Wells who scores. The try is awarded.

21.00: Foley adds the conversion.

27.00: The Reds win a scrum just outside the Waratahs 22. They show some quick hands and move the ball down the line to Sefa Naivalu who opens up the pace just ahead of the line and scores. TRY! The quick hands made that.

29.00: Hegarty takes the conversion but misses again.

31.00: The Waratahs go through 14 phases and get to the Reds 5m line. They get pushed back out but the attack continues until they knock on.

33.00: The Waratahs continue to put the pressure on the Reds but their handling lets them down and they lose the ball in the tackle. The Reds try to counter attack but the Waratahs deliver some big tackles and the ball goes into touch.

39.00: The Waratahs look to end the half on a high. They start their slow but steady attack on the half way line. After 7 phases they get into the Reds 22 but again get pushed back out. On the 9th phase they concede a penalty for accidental offside.

41.00: The siren has sounded but the Reds will have a line out. They win the line out but then Hegarty boots the ball into touch.

The Waratahs kick off and the second half is underway.

41.00: The Reds get the perfect start as Chris Feauai-Sautia gets an intercept and offloads to Bryce Hegarty who races away to score. TRY! 

42.00: Hegarty adds the conversion.

44.00: The Waratahs go through the phases again on attack and on the 11th phase at the 5m line Alex Newsome finds a gap, takes it and dives over to score. TRY! 

45.00: Foley adds the conversion. Waratahs trail by one.

47.00: The Reds attack and Alex Mafi gets away and into space but is tackled as he goes over Cam Clark gets under him in the tackle and prevents Mafi from getting the ball down. #

48.00: The Reds win a scrum and Hegarty flattens the attack and sidesteps the Waratahs backs by running the other way and dives in under the posts. TRY! A double for Hegarty.

50.00; Hegarty takes the conversion from in front but Phipps charges the kick down. It’s a miss. Hegarty set up the kick so close to the posts he made it possible for Phipps to charge down.

53.00: The Waratahs get over again and take the lead by stretching the Reds which allows Michael Wells to slip in for his second TRY!

54.00: Foley adds the conversion. The Waratahs lead.

59.00: Penalty to the Waratahs. Foley takes the kick from in front. He nails it.

64.00: Wow. The Reds go on the attack. Nothing looks like it is on but the Reds kick out wide to the wing where Alex Mafi (the hooker) is open and he beats Alex Newsome to the ball, catches it and runs in the TRY! 

66.00: Hegarty again misses the conversion. That’s five missed. The Reds edge in front again.

67.00: Penalty in front to the Waratahs. Foley will have a shot.

68.00: Foley takes the kick and nails it. Waratahs lead again.

75.00: Penalty to the Waratahs. Foley takes another shot and nails it to extend the lead.

78.00; As the Waratahs go through the phases the game is paused as Caleb Timu takes a big knock to the head in a tackle. He tries to get up a couple of times but is too wobbly so he has to be helped off.

80.00: The game resumes with a penalty to the Waratahs as they had the advantage. Foley slots the penalty.

81.00: The Waratahs have another penalty – they kick the ball into touch and end the game.
