The VISA rugby legends are joining in the debate surrounding the need to involve Argentina in an annual high-level competition.

Zinzan Brooke, Martin Johnson, John Eales and Philippe Sella have all voiced their opinions about the growing consensus to integrate the Pumas into such a competition. Despite their lack of consistent tests against strong competition, the Pumas have recently beaten England, France, Italy, Wales and Scotland to prove they can compete at the highest level.

Former Wallaby captain Eales believes there is scope to include to Argentina in the Tri Nations.

“I would love to see Argentina join Australia, New Zealand and South Africa and extend the Tri Nations. All three teams play in their own unique styles and it would bring so much to the tournament if Argentina joined and added their exciting rugby to the mix.”
