Out of the last five Super Rugby matches between the Sharks and the Cheetahs the Sharks have won four and the Cheetahs one.

We are waiting for the kick off.

Kick off. The match is underway.

2.00: The Sharks win an early penalty. Tim Swiel takes the kick but misses.

4.00: The Cheetahs press the Sharks back into their 22 putting pressure on Lwazi Mvovo. The Cheetahs win a penalty.

5.00: Elgar Watts takes the penalty shot and nails it. The Cheetahs lead.

7.00: The Cheetahs are playing well against the Sharks and looking like the more dangerous team. However as they try to move the ball wide for Cornal Hendricks handling lets them down and they knock on.

10.00: The Cheetahs are forcing the Sharks to play the game in their half.

12.00: It looks like the Sharks have made a change. Tim Swiel has moved to wing and Frans Steyn has moved to 10. 

16.00: The Sharks work the ball into the Cheetahs half but then the Cheetahs turn the ball over at the breakdown and they kick upfield. Steyn boots the ball back and out.

18.00: The Sharks step up a little as the Beast goes on the run. The Cheetahs however win a penalty from the breakdown. The Cheetahs kick for touch and the line out.

20.00: The Cheetahs pass the ball down the line but the Sharks intercept/steal the ball and Tim Swiel almost gets away but is caught.

22.00: There is a short break in play as couple of players need help from the medics. The game resumes.

24.00: The Sharks make some ground into Cheetahs territory. It’s scrappy and the Sharks are caught offside.

26.00: The Sharks are battling to get any momentum.  The Cheetahs win a scrum and work the ball upfield. The Sharks then win the ball back and run it but they knock on when they get to the half way line.

29.00: Both teams are battling to gain any real momentum. The Sharks win a penalty for illegal scrumming. Swiel kicks for touch.

31.00: Tonderai Chavhanga goes on a run for the Sharks down the wing but he is tackled late so the Sharks have a penalty. Swiel takes the penalty kick and nails it. The Sharks are on the board.

33.00: Penalty to the Sharks from their maul. They decide to kick for the corner.

35.00: Willie le Roux has a run down the wing but gets caught so he can’t pass to Sarel Pretorius who was there in support.

37.00: Frans Steyn goes for a drop goal. He misses.

39.00: Tonderai Chavhanga comes off and is replaced by SP Marais. The Sharks have a penalty. Swiel takes the shot but misses.

The siren sounds.

44.00: The Sharks try to attack but they knock on. The Sharks then win a penalty at the scrum. Steyn will kick for posts.

45.00: Frans Steyn takes the penalty kick and nails it.

51.00: Penalty to the Sharks for collapsing the scrum. Steyn takes the kick and nails it.

55.00: The Beast puts in a big tackle on Johann Sadie. He might have injured himself in the process. He looks a little shaky.

59.00: The Sharks bring on Ryan Kankowski for Keegan Daniel.

61.00: The Sharks go on the attack and get the ball to the Cheetahs 5m line under the posts. Heinrich Brussow kills the ball so he is shown a yellow card. Bismarck du Plessis and Willem Alberts collide and du Plessis comes off looking dazed. He is replaced by Kyle Cooper. Steyn slots the penalty.

64.00: The Cheetahs win a penalty and will kick for posts. Elgar Watts takes the kick but misses.

66.00: The Cheetahs charge down a kick from Frans Steyn and Rayno Benjamin gathers the ball and drops to score. TRY!

67.00: Elgar Watts’ conversion kick is just short.

70.00: The Sharks win a scrum and race for the line. They drive over the line and Jean Deysel scores. TRY!

71.00: Frans Steyn takes the kick and nails it.

74.00: The Cheetahs work the ball into the Sharks 22. They set up a line out but then the Sharks snatch the ball as they went too deep and Ryan Kankowski races away. He is just caught.

77.00: Lots of messy and broken play in the middle of the field. No one is really taking control.

78.00: The Sharks win a penalty just inside their half. Steyn will kick.

79.00: Steyn takes the kick but its short. He misses.

80.00: The siren sounds. The Cheetahs lose the ball. That’s it. The Sharks win.
