Sharks Director of Rugby Gary Gold has named his Super Rugby team to play the Southern Kings with Michael Claassens and Lwazi Mvovo returning to the side.

Claasens was named to start at scrumhalf last week but pulled up up in captain’s practice with a groin strain so missed the Jaguares match last week.

Scrumhalf Claasens has recovered from the strain and returns to the starting line up with winger Lwazi Mvovo.

In the forwards last week’s injury to Jean Deysel sees him being replaced by Jean-Luc du Preez in the number 7 jersey.

Etienne Oosthuizen has also made his return to the starting line-up, while there is a new front row in Lourens Adriaanse, Chiliboy Ralepelle and Dale Chadwick.

Sharks Director of Rugby, Gary Gold has asked for a final push from his players before they take a break next week with a bye.

“We had work to do after our performance against the Jaguares, but we are happy with the character shown to dig deep and find a way to win in tough conditions, at what was an unfamiliar venue for the majority of our players.

“Every week you need to be at your best in this competition and our match against the Kings is no exception. They have been working hard and improving each week and they will be ready for the fight this weekend.

“We as a group are very determined to improve each week and it is critically important for us to continue doing so.”
