Sharks sign former England international for Super rugby

Durban based Super rugby team the Sharks have announced that they have signed former England international, Nick Easter as as a consultant, for the Super Rugby campaign.

The former England No.8 retired from playing in July 2016 and turned his hand to coaching straight away by assisting his club at the time Harlequins as defence coach.

Easter was was involved with the Sharks coaching set-up during last year’s successful Currie Cup campaign and has agreed to return to Durban and work with the Sharks.

“Nick added tremendous value during his time with us last year and really fitted into our team culture. His experience and the tactical knowledge he imparted was excellent and I am sure as a young coach he also enjoyed embracing a new culture and learning from us”, said Sharks Head Coach, Robert du Preez.

“He has such a positive influence within the team environment and we look forward to him joining us next week.”
