The Sharks and the Highlanders have already played each other in Super Rugby this year and the Highlanders won the first match by 16 points

The Highlanders 18-34 victory over the Sharks was the Durban side’s first loss
at home in 2014 and one of only two home losses for the Sharks this year.

Overall the Sharks have played the Highlanders 16 times in Super Rugby since
1998 and the Sharks have won 9 matches and lost 7 matches.

That gives the Sharks a record of winning 56% of their matches against the
Highlanders across all venues.

The average score when the Sharks play the Highlanders in Super Rugby is :
Sharks 23 Highlanders 25.

As they did in the eleventh round the Sharks will have home advantage as the
match will be played in Durban. The teams have met 8 times in Durban and the
Sharks have won 5 matches and lost three.

That gives the Sharks a record of winning 63% of their matches against the
Highlanders in Durban.

Interestingly as the Highlanders have had some big wins in Durban the average
score when the teams meet there is : Sharks 23 Highlanders 23.

The Sharks have played 16 matches this year and won 11 or 69% of their matches.
At home in Durban the Sharks played eight matches and won 6 and lost 2 giving
them a record of winning 75% of their home matches.

The Highlanders have also played 16 matches and won eight matches (50%). Away
from home the Highlanders played 8 matches and won 2 or 25% of their away matches.

For much of the season the Sharks were the team to beat but wobbles either
side of the June International break cost them a home Semifinal. They had perfect
preparation for knockout rugby last week against the Stormers and showed a ruthless
edge.

The Highlanders have been boosted by the return of Ben Smith and Lima Sopoaga.
They will need all of their players to be firing and keep the Sharks guessing
in much the same way they did earlier this year in Round 11.

The Sharks have also had a boost as Patrick Lambie is back in the team – albeit
on the bench – and Springbok winger JP Pietersen has come through after suffering
a knock last week. Pacy number 9 Cobus Reinach is also back for the home side
and has been enjoying some great form lately.

The Bookies
have given the Highlanders a 14 point start for this Match
– with
an offer of a FREE $250.00 Bet.
The Highlanders
have been through a tough couple of weeks with matches against the Crusaders
and Waratahs and they are in for another tough test this week. The Sharks at
home should be too much for the Highlanders who don’t have a great away record
this year. The Sharks should win by 9.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ, Aus, SA and in
the UK on Sky Sports 4/HD on the Red Button.

Average score: Sharks 23 Highlanders 25
