Sitiveni Sivivatu is back from injury and rubbing shoulders with his former All Black teammates in a Christchurch training camp this week.
Sivivatu set an All Blacks test scoring record by nabbing a haul of four tries on debut for New Zealand against Fiji in 2005. The barnstorming winger has been plagued by a knee injury this season and has yet to add to his 2005 tally of six tests.
On the weekend he demonstrated promising match fitness as he scored a clinical try and looked sharp during his 54 minutes against Southland.
While he has not been officially added to Graham Henry’s squad of 30 it seems that, fitness allowing, he may replace Canterbury wing Scott Hamilton ahead of the crucial August 19 Eden Park test against Australia.
