Smit returns for Lions against Crusaders

The Lions have named their team to play the Crusaders at Emirates Airline Park on Sunday and have included Dillon Smit at No.9.

In total Lions Super Rugby coach Swys de Bruin has made seven changes to his team to the side that played the Jaguares.

Smit dons the number nine jumper in his first start for Super Rugby this season.

Smit made his return to the playing field in Argentina against the Jaguares after a long lay-off due to a fractured ankle in August 2017.

Hacjivah Dayimani has been included at number eight in the Lions team for his fouth Super Rugby cap and , will pack down with Kwagga Smith, back at six and Cyle Brink.

Another youngster, Madosh Tambwe, will start at wing in the place of the injured Aphiwe Dyantyi.

Corné Fourie makes his way onto the bench as replacement hooker while Marnus Schoeman will also warm the bench again.
