Most notable among the changes is the inclusion of Wandile Mjekevu, who only joined the Kings this week, at left wing in place of Luzuko Vulindlu, who is out with a hamstring tear.

Mjekevu has been loaned to the Kings from the Sharks for the rest of the 2016 Super Rugby season.

Davids also announced that Stefan Watermeyer, who has missed the past two matches due to a tendon strain in his foot, has been cleared and will be returning to his usual berth at outside centre, seeing JP du Plessis move onto the bench,

Up front Edgar Marutlulle returns to start at hooker after missing the last game due to illness. He takes up Martin Ferreira’s berth, who is out for the rest of the season with a dislocated rib.

Davids also rotated Schalk Oelofse and JC Astle at flank, with Astle coming up from the bench to start this week.

Utility back Dewald Human, secures a berth on the bench in place of Elgar Watts who is off due to a tendon strain in his foot.
